HTCIA COLLEAGUES: Please note that the June Chapter Meeting date has changed to Tuesday 07 June 2016 at 6:30PM.
Note that the presentation will start at 6:30PM (10 minutes later than normal) to allow sufficient time for the presenter to travel from the SANS presentation near the airport.
This months topic is “Building a Forensically Capable Network Infrastructure”. This will be broken down into the following:
- what is meant by forensically capable
- the facts as they relate to security incidents
- the challenges in becoming forensically capable
- choices to be made between open source and commercial solutions
- the importance of time
Presenter Biography:
Nik Alleyne has worked 18 years in IT, with the last 8 years being more focused on Security. Currently employed as Manager, Cyber Security at Forsythe Technology Canada – a MSSP (managed security service provider). He also teaches SANS 503 – Intrusion Detection in Depth.
Nik holds a Masters in Cyber Security Forensics and multiple industry certifications, including: CISSP, GCIH, GCIA, CCNP – R&S and Security, Splunk Admin, ISO9001, etc. You can check his blog at http://securitynik.blogspot.com.,
