The exFAT File System
exFAT is a Microsoft proprietary and patented file system. It is the default file system for SDXC memory cards and SDXC cards are pre-formatted with exFAT. Microsoft has entered into exFAT licensing agreements with BlackBerry, Panasonic, Sanyo, Sony, Canon and BMW.
Biography
Stéphane Denis is a 27 year veteran of the RCMP and is currently the Acting Manager of the Technological Crime Learning Institute at the Canadian Police College. He has been involved in computer forensics for 17 years. Nine of those years have been spent teaching computer forensics and he has also spent 2 years as the NCO in charge of the RCMP Network Intrusion Operations Team.
