Fellow Ottawa Chapter Members:
As 2016 comes to a close, I will take this opportunity to say a few words about the past year for our local HTCIA Chapter, and to encourage you to come to our year end social on Tuesday December 13 – for wings, nachos, refreshments – and of course, your good company and good conversation – the Chapter only exists for you, so please try to come.
I would like to thank the Chapter membership for giving me the opportunity to serve as your Chapter President for the past year, and more importantly, for coming out and supporting our monthly Chapter events – while the events are for the membership, they don’t work unless you come out, so again, Thank You.
I also want to say that I have thoroughly enjoyed becoming more involved with the HTCIA, both locally and as a member of the International Board of Directors (IBD) of the HTCIA.
The past two years on the Board has given me a much better understanding of the challenges many members face in their particular professions, and has given me a greater appreciation of the professional calibre and experience of the HTCIA membership at large.
Over the past year, our Chapter is has demonstrated the value of HTCIA, primarily through our membership that supports the events, and that is so willing to share their experiences, knowledge and wisdom, through participation and discussion with the variety of speakers we have had.
I would like to thank my fellow 2016 Board members for their participation and support over the past year, Denis Roussel, Thomas Miklikowski, Jacob Heilik, Guy Leclerc, and of course Gilles Racine as Past President and our Membership Chairman, Russ Douglas.
I look forward to helping in 2017 as your Past President, with the incoming Board for 2017, Denis Roussel, Gilles Racine, Scott Murphy, Bruce Davis, Jacob Heilik – and of course, our long-time Membership Chairman, Russ Douglas!
Enjoying celebrating the Holiday Season, on behalf of the 2016 Board, we thank you and look forward to seeing you again in the New Year – for more events, new guests and topics.
And don’t forget – we hope to see you on Tuesday December 13 for the year end social.

Anual Social Details
The HTCIA Year-end Social and member networking is scheduled for Tuesday 13 December 2016 – 5:30 PM.
If you plan to attend this event, please register as soon as possible at the registration link on the event page.
This will enable us to determine an approximate attendee count, so we can advance order enough munchies for everyone.
During this informal gathering, we encourage the Chapter members to discuss the Chapter and the upcoming year, as to the type and nature of events, i.e., speaker focus, etc.
Note: No Charge for members. Guests are welcome for a $15 fee.
