2016/04/28 – 2016/04/28
1701 Woodroffe Ave
Description:
The Ottawa Chapter of HTCIA is presenting a full day of training on CLOUD FORENSICS. The training will take place on Thursday April 28, 2016 at the Nepean Sportsplex, Hall 1E, 1701 Woodroffe Ave, Nepean, ON K2G 1W2. Free parking on site and the venue is serviced by OC Transpo route 95. Lunch is included at no extra cost.
As the general population embraces mobile networking, increasing amounts of data are stored and accessed remotely. Where investigators once had to worry about hard disks, thumb drives and easily concealed storage devices, they now need to be aware of where each device connects to store and access data. A single user may have multiple services activated for pictures, videos, files and social media content.
During the day you will hear from experts in the field – discussing legal and privacy aspects, as well as policy concerns related to forensics on clouded services. This will be augmented by presentation of practical issues and demonstrations of tools and techniques to make your work easier. The Canada Revenue Agency will be demonstrating a cloud forensic tool they have developed in-house. The CRA is seeking internal approval to distribute this tool to participants of our training day. In addition, Cellebrite will be giving all participants a three month trial of their UFED Cloud Analyzer.
Cost of the training is only $125 for HTCIA members and $175 for non-members (parking and lunch are included). Continuing Professional Education (CPE) credits can be claimed for this training.
Plan to join us on April 28, 2016. Seating will be limited to 45 participants so register early to secure your seat.
