This session will discuss the future of Cyber Security Incident Response as a profession, and how Algonquin College is currently putting together program(s) and training in this field that will enable and empower Government agencies & public/private organizations in understanding the realities of and implementing Cyber Security solutions to adequately protect their assets and data.
Presenter Biography
Patrick Ouellette has been in the IT field for more than 30 years, with 25 of those relating to cyber security. Considered by some to be a “Gray Hat” hacker, he has been teaching at Algonquin College since Sept 1998 in the Computer Systems Technician program, with a strong specialization in Cyber Security since 2000. Patrick has been a coordinator for ICT programs at Algonquin since 2002, and is the spearhead for Algonquin’s Cyber Security training and program development. Patrick has also published several articles in the popular eForensics and PenTesting magazines.
