Description:

As an information security professional or law enforcement investigator you sometimes need to monitor and analyze network traffic, perform packet inspections, troubleshoot the network, capture targeted data streams and protocols, convert communication protocols, etc. You may be currently using PC hardware and a combination of different network equipment and applications to accomplish your goals. But, what do you do if you need to do this inconspicuously, or if you need to relocate your network tap quickly and often, or if you need to monitor several locations simultaneously?

By combining a small hardware platform running Linux and open source network applications you can monitor, collect, process, filter or redirect data traffic.  Having a small form factor affordable, inline, intelligent network tap that is “plug-and-play”; that is easy to carry around, and that does not require any changes in the network infrastructure could be your solution.

During this presentation, Robert and Alex from WAW Technologies Inc. will talk about the versatility of their unique device and provide live demos of some of the different applications that will help in your network monitoring or investigation activities.
