As this may be of interest to the membership, I am posting an upcoming workshop at the Canadian Police College.
The Technological Crime Learning Institute of the Canadian Police College is hosting a Windows 7 Registry Analysis Workshop. This is a hands-on class focused on locating, extracting and interpreting evidence from registry files. This workshop will be taught from Oct 1 – 4th at the Canadian Police College, 1 Sandridge Road,
Ottawa. Some of the highlights of this workshop are;
- explain the purpose and value of registry files
- use multiple techniques to locate and verify registry data content
- extract and interpret registry file information from running computer systems
- interpret registry data that explains the presence of externally connected devices
- extract and interpret evidentiary information from older backup copies of registry files
- determine software programs frequently used
Ottawa HTCIA chapter members may enroll in this workshop at a cost of $700. A full service cafeteria is available on our campus for lunch. For additional information on workshop content, or registration information, please check our web site at http://www.cpc.gc.ca/en/raw, or contact Greg Bembridge directly.
